My Reflection
What a year this has been! Mrs Day and I have had some good times and some bad times this 2012-2013 school year. I have really improved since August. From writing essays to learning how to get out of simple sentences. Through-out this year I've make some new friends and love them all. Even Micheal with his crazy self. We've all learned to come together and have each others back through everything. We always spoke our mind and whatever it was we needed help with, you broke it down to the point where we knew what to. I have really enjoyed myself this year. Next year hopefully it will be the same, but with a few extra people and as always thats fine, and we're still going to have fun. AP Lit. here I come ready to read and ready to fill my head up a little more. I feel like its going to be easier this year since I've gotten used to Mrs. Day and my classmates. At the beginging I wasn't so sure if I was going to make, and felt like i just wanted to get out the class. But my sister never gave up on nothing so I felt like if I stayed in the class it would make her very proud to see that Im trying to follow her footsteps. Can't wait til next year I'm ready and got my head on straight and ready for whatever books Mrs Day throws my way.

Sandy Hook, Conn. Massacre
Although we don't have a blog due till next year I just felt the urge to talk about this. But who could have been this low down and heartless to kill 20 children + 6 adults, 20 year old Adam Lanza.
In, Newtown, Conn., a man opened fire Friday inside two classrooms at the Connecticut elementary school where his mother was a teacher, killing 26 people, including 20 children, as children cowered in corners and closets and trembled helplessly to gunshots reverberating through the building. The 20-year-old killer, carrying two handguns, committed suicide at the school, and another person was found dead at a second scene, bringing the total amount of people dead to 28. Police shed no light on the motive for the attack. The gunman was believed to suffer from a personality disorder and lived with his mother in Connecticut. The rampage, coming less than two weeks before Christmas, was the nation's second-deadliest school shooting, exceeded only by the Virginia Tech massacre that left 33 people dead in 2007. Panicked parents looking for their children raced to Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, a prosperous community of about 27,000 people 60 miles northeast of New York City. Youngsters at the kindergarten through fourth-grade school were told to close their eyes by police as they were led from the building so the children wouldn't see anything they weren't supposed to see. Schoolchildren, some crying, others looking frightened, were escorted through a parking lot in a line, hands on each other's shoulders."Our hearts are broken today," says President Barack Obama, struggling to maintain composure, at the White House. He called for "meaningful action" to prevent such shootings. Youngsters and their parents described teachers locking doors and ordering the children to huddle in the corner or hide in closets when shots echoed through the building. Authorities didn't say exactly how the shootings unfolded. They also gave no details on the victim discovered at another scene, except to say that the person was an adult found dead by police while they were investigating the gunman. A law enforcement official identified the gunman as 20-year-old Adam Lanza, the son of a teacher. A second law enforcement official said his mother, Nancy Lanza, was presumed dead. " How could you have been so brutal and merciless do do that to children who were expecting Christmas in 11 days?" says Shambrey Halton of Memphis Tn." Now the parents of these defenseless children have to go home to a Christmas tree full of wonderful gifts and just call to god and their children, and just grieve. Some of these parents didn't have the fiances to get the gifts their children wanted in the past years, but could finally make enough to get their little girl her barbie dream house; to get that boy the x-box he's been dreaming of since he was 4, and you come alone and take all of that away from them. The question stills remains unanswered, what could possessed you do such horrible damage to these families in Connecticut.

Mike Tyson Bites Ear!!!
On June 28, 1997, Mike Tyson bit Evander Holyfield’s ear in the third round of their heavyweight rematch. Tyson's bite lead him to his disqualification from the match and suspension from boxing, and was the strangest chapter in this champion’s career. Mike Tyson enjoyed his rise to stardom. In 1986, he became the youngest heavyweight champion in history by beating Trevor Berbick at just 19 years old. By 1989, Tyson had begin to go downward in sports. His behavior included marrying then divorcing actress Robin Givens, firing and suing his manager, breaking his hand in an early morning street brawl and two car accidents, one of them supposingly being a "suicide" attempt. Tyson also fired trainer Kevin Rooney and replaced him with Don King.Unable to keep his focus on boxing Tyson lost the heavyweight title after being knocked out by James "Buster" Douglas in a stunning upset on February 11, 1990. In 1991, Tyson was accused of rape by Desiree Washington, a contestant in a beauty pageant he was judging in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was convicted on February 10, 1992, and served three years and one month in a the federal pen. Once released, Tyson regained his heavyweight belts and then planned a bout with Holyfield, a clean-living, religious former heavyweight champion from Georgia who was considered the best heavyweight challenger for Tyson after Lennox Lewis, who Tyson refused to schedule. Holyfield had retired in 1994, and on November 9, 1996,Holyfield shocked the boxing world by beating Tyson in an 11th round TKO to win Tyson’s WBA title. Holyfield came into the rematch on this day in 1997 even stronger than he had been for the first fight. In the first round, he hit Tyson hard with body shots while Tyson flailed away, ignoring the advice of boxing his trainer had promised he would employ. By the end of the round, the crowd chanted Holyfield’s name, turning on the usual fan favorite Tyson. In the second round, Holyfield head-butted Tyson, opening a cut over Tyson’s right eye.In the third round, Tyson lost what composure he had left. He spit out his mouthpiece, bit off a chunk out of Holyfield’s right ear and then spit it onto the canvas. Though Holyfield was in obvious pain the fight resumed after a brief stoppage, and then Tyson bit Holyfield’s other ear. With 10 seconds left in the third round, he was disqualified. His $30 million purse was withheld while Nevada boxing officials reviewed the fight. Events in Tyson’s life took repeated turns for the worse in the after the fight, and culminated in his bankruptcy. In part due to $400,000 a year spent on maintaining a flock of pet pigeons and an arrest for cocaine possession. In 2006, Tyson agreed to join Heidi Fleiss’ legal brothel in Nevada as a prostitute.

Wife Appears in Court to Face Husband in Alleged Murder-for-Hire Plot
A month later after being shot by her allegedly by a hitman hired by her husband, a Texas woman, Nancy Howard, appeared in court to go through with the divorce of her husband John Howard. Prosecutors are saying that John Howard, who was an accountant who sang in a church choir, had a secret life and paid alot of alleged hitmen over $100,000 to kill his wife so he could be with his mistress in California. His wife was shot in the driveway of their home on August 18. She was a mother of three and was in a coma for some days; the bullet destroyed her eye and hit a lung. John amitted he did have and affair for four years but says he has nothing to do with the shooting of his wife and is pleading not guilty.Johns' attorney,Arch McColl, told ABC News Nancy really doesn't want a divorce."He has three beautiful children, a long marriage with a lovely wife who does not want to divorce him. She's indicated that in writing," said McColl. Nancy refuse to answer any questions, but is continuing to move forward with it by showing up in court. "I prayed through the whole incident and called on God to save me, and he did. He carried me through," Nancy Howard told ABC News affiliate WFAA. Te plan to kill his wife has been going on since 2009 and is just now being brought into court. When EVERYTHING could have been avoided if he just would have gotten a divorce. Now Mr John Howard wont be seeing his "ex"-wife or mistress who's in "California" alone with his buddies who he paid so much money to. How about that sir in the end you end up with NOBODY!!!!!

Mrs.Day
Today Mrs.Day wasn't holding her tongue with nobody. She was fed up with what's being going on with everybody in the class thus far. People not READING, to be specific, but not only reading just doing our work period and not getting it done in the right amount of time. The fact of the matter is, if you now feel like the class is to much for you to handle, transfer back to a regular English III class like you're used to. In AP its either you can handle the challenge or just give up. Being in AP is just a challenge on its on, Mrs.Day can't hold your hand like your old teachers in past have held it, and let you get by not knowing everything there's to know. AP can be as easy as READING and completing the work in the right amount of time. Mrs. Day does give you a lengthy amount of time to turn your assaignments in, but if you just take advantage of that then just get your schedule changed. Mrs. Day has a reputation of having all to most of her students pass the test and she doesn't need you messing that up for her. To keep your life simple continue doing what you simply do in life. Why I Want a Student
"I belong to that classifation of people known as students. I am a student"
I want a student who can be here at school when unable to make it. Say if I am sick, dont feel up to coming to school, on a vaction, or out of town. I want a student who can help me when I need extra assisstence on an assignment. I want a student who will listen to me when I complain about a teacher or subject thats hard or complicated. I want a student that will do some of the work, when I have alot. I want a student who is smart and knows what their doing. I want a student who is always there and on time. I want a student who will go get my lunch when I'm busy working on something. I want a student who will do every project I have because I don't like projects, they're to hard. I need a student to adhere to my every need at school, or pertains to school.

Chik-Fil-a Controversy
I feel like these people "The Gays" should be able to do what they wanna do. It's not a law against it, so why should you care? Their not bothering nobody, so why should you care? It goes against the bible, but thats their life, so why should you care? Everybody has their own way of how they want to live. Just because your stright you have your own way of living, so why cant they. You do what you wanna do, you go where you wanna go, you live the way you wanna live, so let them do what you do. You is CHIK-FIL-A worry about how to cook the chicken properly instead of worrying what the gay people are doing. I'm not saying I'm gay, just because I'm defending them, no I just want people to leave other people alone. Dan Cathy said “I think we are inviting God’s judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at Him and say ‘we know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage’ and I pray God's mercy on our people that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we have the audacity to define what marriage is about.” If it's not you why are you worried about it let them live there life the way they want to live there life. They clearly know what there doing so LEAVE THEM ALONE!!!! And that's that on that.
